Die Lackbilder funktionieren analog zu den realen Wasserarbeiten. Der hochglänzende Lack versiegelt die darunter liegende Malerei und verschleiert sie mit einer ortsabhängigen Spiegelung, die zugleich im Kontrast zu matten Bereichen steht. Bei den Papierblättern wird das Material dabei auch noch transparent getränkt. Auf diese Weise werden diese Malereien den Dimensionen Raum und Zeit hin geöffnet. |
The acrylics function in a manner analogous to the works with real water. The high-gloss lacquer seals the underlying paining and veils it with a reflection determined arising from the location, that contrasts with the mat areas at the same time. In the case of the paper sheets the material is also rendered transparent by soaking. In this way these painings are opened up into the dimension of space and time. |

Unterwasserraum Bauprojekt 1998 Projektvorschlag für eine Parkland-schaft in Köln; in ähnlicher Form auch für eine Platzgestaltung denkbar. Raum mit nicht überschaubarem, unterirdischem Gang und verschiede-nen stilisierten Requisiten wie einem Stuhl, einem Bild sowie einer Wandsockelbemalung... Nachts ist der Unterwassergang beleuchtet. Die gesamte Plastik ist in den Boden eingelassen und bis zum Rand mit ge-klärtem, transparentem Wasser gefüllt. |
