Generalbelehrung I 1987 Hier: Anlaesslich der Ausstellung Leicht erhoehte Temperatur 4000 D, Duesseldorfer Kuenstler im Schloss Parz Österreich. Objekt, eine Wand simulierend, zwischen einem ueberdimensio-nalen Bild und einer leicht gekippten Staffelei kippend. Ein gerahmtes Werkschutzplakat aus einer schwer definierbaren Zeit - es koennte in Deutschland vor dem zweiten Weltkrieg, waehrend - aber auch in den Fuenfziger Jahren nach dem Krieg entstanden sein, ist auf der Frontwand des Objektes befestigt. Ein Meister erklaert dem koerperlich, und somit auch hierarchisch kleineren Lehrling die Welt. Im Rahmen, hinter dem belehrenden Zeigefinger sind Bild und Wand perforiert und lassen den Blick in das Dahinter frei. Sehr ueberraschend fuer den aufmerksamen Beobachter ist dabei, dass der Hintergrund wegen der vor dem Hintergrund schwebenden Hand 400 x 300 cm |
General Instruction I 1987 Here: On the occasion of the exhibition, Slightly Elevated Temperature 4000D, artists from Duesseldorf in Schloss Parz in Austria. Object, simulating a wall, tilting between an oversized picture and a slightly tilted easel. A framed security guards’ poster from a period that cannot be easily determined it might be Germany before the Second World War, during the war, but it might also be from the ‘Fifties after the war is attached to the front wall of the object. A master explains everything to an apprentice, who is both physically smaller and therefore hierarchically lower. In the frame behind the dogmatically pointing finger the picture and the wall are perforated and open up the view to what lies behind. What is very surprising to the attentive viewer is the fact that the background cannot be focussed on due to the hand floating in front of it, and that it therefore has the peculiar effect of a mirror image in the viewer’s direction. 400 x 300cm |

Über gestern und morgen I 1989 - 91 Reproduktion einer Wand des ehemaligen Ateliers Nonnengasse in Duisburg. Hinter einem verglastem Passepartout liegt eine strukturell identische Ebene, jedoch mit Gebrauchsspuren um einen durch die Glasscheibe nicht mehr zugaenglichen Tuerspion herum. Zwischen den beiden Wandebenen liegt ein verstecktes, nur ansatzweise sichtbares Bild. Acryl auf Glasfiberkunststoff, Holz, Stahl, Glas Masse: ca.: 300 x 125 x 12 cm |
